Creating a Sense of Place
Cohesive and intentional campus branding helps create a sense of place for our campus community and especially our visitors. The overall experience is shared through the use of color, signage, wayfinding, wall art, decor, murals, monuments and more. Before considering a signage or wall art need, consult with University Marketing and Facilities for support and best practices.
A Partnership Between Marketing and Facilities
As the leader of internal communications, University Marketing supports and directs campus branding efforts in partnership with Facilities. Projects are evaluated based on communication goals, impact, aesthetics and feasibility.
Exterior Signage
Permanent campus signage, such as post and panel signage and wall-mount signage, is a capital enhancement that requires a Facilities work order and must use the standard university template.
Non-permanent signage, such as window vinyl, in a standardized template can be ordered from the Copy Center. All door signage must follow the university standard template.
Interior Wall Art
Interior, large-format wall murals or vinyl installations must be coordinated through Creative Services. Interior wall art is designed to accent and enhance a space. Brand messaging is conveyed via color, style and imagery. University logos—including the tagline logo, primary logo or subunit logos—may not be used for large-format wall art installations.
